I have driven down Route 68 a million times from Monterey to Salinas. The same drive Doc Rickets took years ago. I would often let Doc talk nonsense to me and then change it to a kind of wisdom. He was a pleasant passenger in my mind. His had no horizon. The peaceful drive I often take wherever I am at the moment.
