The History of Comic-Con was created and designed by Suzka, Gaslamp's Comic-Con Painter. She honors the early visionaries Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger, Mike Towry, Greg Bear, Barry Alfonso, Bob Sourk, and Greg Bear, as she pictorially traces this 40+ year movement. From the first Comic-Minicon in 1970 at the Golden State Hotel (100 attendees) to the Convention Center move in 1991 to the lost year of 2020, Suzka has captured this bit of comic history. Suzka, a cartoonist, painter and writer, creates a tribute to the biggest comic-movement as only an artist can - with paint.
